The New Jersey Institute of Theology (NJIT) is a Christian theological institution and biblical counseling training center committed to equipping pastors, ministers, Christian counselors, chaplains, ministry leaders, and believers for effective service in the Church and community.

Founded and led by Dr. Rick Greene, Th.D., NJIT provides accessible, Christ-centered theological and ministry education to students throughout the United States and internationally. Our educational philosophy emphasizes the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, spiritual formation, practical ministry, and the application of biblical truth to the challenges of everyday life.

As an organizational partner and training center with the Biblical Counseling Coalition, and certified by the Association of Registered Christian Counselors (ARCC), NJIT is committed to advancing Christ-centered, Scripture-based counseling, discipleship, and soul care.

Our Christian counseling programs prepare students to listen compassionately, think biblically, respond wisely, and minister with integrity. Training includes biblical counseling foundations and methods, marriage and family concerns, grief and loss, crisis ministry, ethics, pastoral care, and practical counseling skills.

Our mission is to educate, equip, and empower Christian leaders to faithfully understand God’s Word, apply biblical truth to life, and serve others with wisdom, compassion, and Christ-centered hope.
