After the loss of my first wife in 2014, the staff of my local church along with my small group supported me through the grieving process and all that involved. The care that I received throughout that journey gave me a passion to care for others. I met my wife Debbie in the fall of 2017, and we married in June of 2018. Shortly after I became Deacon of Bereavement until around 2024 when I stepped into the role of Deacon of Care and continue to serve in that capacity today. I have a Level 2 Biblical Counseling certification with the Association of Biblical Counselors and am a Level 2 Certified Christian Trauma Care Provider through the Chistian Trauma Healing Network.
